VP of Marketing
About Us
Cambium uses technology to make it easy to access material we normally waste. We work across the lumber supply chain to turn salvaged material into Carbon Smart Wood™. What You’ll Do
The VP of Marketing will set the vision and ensure flawless execution of a holistic marketing strategy across brand, digital, content, and demand generation. To date, Cambium has built a strong brand foundation, and as VP, you will be responsible for operationalizing that foundation and building the scaffolding for scale (see this CNBC article as an example). Cambium has built a comprehensive ecosystem to change how people view supply chains and the materials we use every day. You will be responsible for understanding the nuance across our business (messaging, audiences, needs, and goals) and channeling that into results.
After proving product market fit and raising an $18.5M Series A, Cambium is now focused on driving mass market adoption across its business units. This role will be responsible for executing and leading the marketing functions needed to grow target customers across Cambium’s supply chain–from material supply & wood products manufacturing to the largest companies in the built environment.
This role is 30% strategy and 70% tactical execution and implementation. This position requires making data-driven recommendations to enable impactful messaging and growth across the business. We’re looking for someone who can set the course and put in the legwork to scale our marketing efforts to achieve our ambitious goals. As we grow, you will have resources to scale the team to achieve our goals–including contractors and full time employees.

About You: Required
We understand marketing is not a one-size-fits-all department, and you can’t hire one person to execute on all marketing functions. That said, this role requires understanding and familiarity with the core pillars of a holistic marketing strategy (brand, content, digital, demand gen). Where you excel will determine where we deploy resources to complement your strengths.
A minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand-building, growth, and storytelling.
Experience leading PR, thought leadership, and strategic partnership initiatives.
Strong digital marketing and demand generation skills OR experience leading a digital marketing function—SEO, paid media, content, and CRM (HubSpot expertise preferred).
Exceptional storytelling, content, and creative direction abilities.
Hands-on leader—comfortable setting the strategy, rolling up your sleeves to execute, and holding your team to high standards.
You like to chart your course and don’t wait for someone to give you a to-do list! You have an innate ability to jump in, figure it out, anticipate, plan and execute.
Passion for sustainability and impact—you want to make a difference.
You are exceptionally organized and excel at holding your team accountable to key metrics and milestones (direct reports and contractors).
