What You'll Do

When bringing an innovative product to market, it is a constant dance between expanding demand and increasing inventory and supply capacity. We have focused our product and supply chains and are ready to open the gates to demand and prove Carbon Smart Wood™ can reshape the industry. This is an exciting opportunity to drive sales that will supercharge our growth. 

Sell Carbon Smart Wood™ (80%)

  • Call on wood product targets across industry and pitch Carbon Smart Wood™

  • Execute a sales strategy for the built environment to achieve revenue targets

  • Work closely with our Supply team to set clear customer expectations

  • Organize and execute lunch and learns with sales targets

  • Prioritize and execute on top targets

  • Provide technical expertise guidance to clients regarding the differences between sustainable materials

Sales Operations (20%)

  • Leverage experience and lessons learned to level up our sales process

  • Be an organizational champion - document specs and details like a wood fiend

  • Track meetings, outreach, and project details in Hubspot

  • Work effectively with our Logistics & Fulfillment team to get the right wood to the right place at the right time

  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts to track progress and evaluate performance

About You: Required

  • 5-7 years of industry experience. You know your way around a job site. 

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in the building materials or construction industry

  • Blueprints and specs are your favorite night time reading

  • Strong knowledge of wood products, their alternatives, and the architecture & design industry

  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific sustainable wood product or building materials experience (e.g. Kebony, Accoya)

  • Network of designers, specifiers, manufacturers, and companies that would love Carbon Smart Wood™

  • Experience with Hubspot (or other CRMs) 

  • You are familiar with specification writing, reading proposals, and submitting bids. 

The Details

  1. This role will report to: VP of Sales

  2. When: We’re looking to fill this role immediately

  3. Where: Baltimore, Upper Great Lakes Region (IN, MI, WI, IL, MN), Pacific Northwest, and Connecticut preferred

  4. Salary Range: $60-90k, or commensurate with experience, plus an aggressive commission program available at interview
